Our Practice

Our experience enables us to offer effective outpatient, individualized, psychological care. We treat a number of mental health disorders, and provide a neutral ground to individuals, families, and couples.

Our Treatment Focus

Our focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.

Our Promise to You

We promise to be there for you every step of your journey. Our goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.

Our Therapists

Marlo Watson, MSW, LCSW, LCAS, CSI

I am a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill and licensed in the areas of Substance Abuse and Mental Health. I have experience working with individuals/families suffering from Substance Abuse (specializing in Opiate Addictions), Learning Disabilities, Depression, Anxiety, Parenting, and PTSD. I utilize Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy,  Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing and components of DBT.

I am trained in the yoga practice,  which according to Georg Feuerstein, "Yoga therapy is of modern coinage and represents a first effort to integrate traditional yogic concepts and techniques with Western medical and psychological knowledge."  This approach allows me to work with a variety of individuals using innovative strategies to achieve optimal outcomes.

Newly licensed LCSW and LCAS? I supervise newly licensed clinicians looking to obtain full licensure in a supportive and collaborative relationship.

Our Therapy

Depression & Anxiety

You are not alone! Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you long to have in your life.

Trauma & PTSD

Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. We can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.

Our modalities of treatment include Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Yoga, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Addiction

Substance Use Disorders and Behavioral Addictions can be exhausting for the individual, family, and friends.  Are you tired of being tired? We can help you gain clarity on why you keep allowing yourself to suffer.  There is a reason why you struggle to simply stop.  If only it were that easy?! We will work with you and family to develop effective strategies to live and addiction free life.
